a lot of the positions I am trying for are coming back saying that "they
don't think I'll stay long enough as I could do better elsewhere" -
which of course may be true but enjoying the job is more important than
money to me ( as long as I can live on the amount they I want to)

I've had the "too experienced" line trotted out to me no less
than 5 times since I arrived here. All I wanted was a fucking
paycheque and was willing to accept whatever they were
offering. Then I hear about an "IT skills shortage" and the
only thing I can think of is that it's not IT skills that
are missing, it's managers with half a fucking clue that's
missing.

 

Well at least they were honest. I used to just get told "You'll get
bored and leave".

They were absolutely right, of course, but I needed the money.

Odd though it may seem, you are wrong. Of all the lines I have heard
trotted out over the years from wimmin and there have been many, turning
