paging Blaney, Pip, TOG and TC[1]

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Doesnotcompute, May 7, 2005.

  1. Blaney - sorry to say I won't be offering you forst dibs on the
BlaneyBandit when I get rid of it.

Pip - clear out some mental disk space and forget everything about said
Bandit - it's unlikley you'll work on it again.

TOG - what's the uber bargain of the moment and is it available in black?

[1] Thieving Cunts. I hope that the first time you ride it you flip it
and seriously injure yourselves. On the offchance you suss the clutch
and get it rolling along, I hope you find out about the 'go straight
from 7k rpm to 10k rpm' clutch slippage issue[2]. You'll enjoy that, mid
corner whilst powering through. No really.

[2] Pip - you didn't use fully synth oil perchance?

    Bastards.

I have a spare T595 if you want two wheels to play with for the Summer.

You mean datatag? Chances are they'd have nicked it anyway. It's either
on it's way to Eastern Europe as a full bike, or split for parts.

I'll be watching ebay for a while too.

Oh and whilst the stereotypical Dutch lack of urgency for anything, can
lead to a nice (?) pace of life, it's a bit arse when you walk into a
politie station less than 2 minutes after it's gone and it takes 20
minutes until a radio alert goes out to the beat. Plus another hour to
process a simple stolen vehicle report.

That said, the coppers seem to have a very anti bike thief attitude - my
mate joked about hurting the offenders should he ever see the bike. The
plodman laughed and suggested that mate chucks them into the canal
afterwards, and not to worry, the Politie wouldn't support the scumbag [1].

[1] recently an 18 year old kid/bloke(?) got shot and the whole area was
in uproar, but not half as much as when the plod said "he was a hard
drug dealer, he wanted to play big boys games, he learned by big boys
rules. Case closed." Which to me, sounds like a result.

  18. That's a good question. On paper it's what? 2.5k gbp worth? Which would
go a fair chunk of the way to paying for a new bike.

    The crunch factors:

    1) Carole Nash paying out (can't see why they wouldn't)
    2) Whether my accumlated 4 full years NCB is protected or not

If the answer to number 2 is 'no' then there's a chance that my premiums
will jump considerably if I want anything reasonable.

If the answer to number 2 is yes, then I'll claim - **** it, I've paid
enough over the years to deserve a genuine payout.

There are various answers to that, however 'yes'[1] comes to mind quickest.

[1] but in a kind of you'd never sell it, but always keep it for laughs
