It has more power than I already have, but it's not all about huge power
figures. I like the practicality of the Blade. My bikes spend most of
their time on the road, and a fair bit of that time doing long trips.
The K5 and ZX-10R are pretty much useless to me as they aren't suited to
having throwovers lobbed on and the K5 has a plank for a seat. I don't
like the R1's feel and that leaves the Blade, which I get on with.

It's all academic anyway, I don't need a new bike and my Gixer has
enough go to keep me happy.

I love my exhaust, purely because it provokes this kind of reaction.

    Doesn't that damage the exhaust?

How do those new exhausts work? They look lovely (IMO) but where have all
the silencing bits gone to (like well, the silencer?!) - or is it all in
that black box thing that's poking out the bottom of the fairing?

Makes it a bit hard to stick an aftermarket one on ...

As TOG has mentioned elsewhere though - is it really necessary to release a
new bike every two years? Seems to play havoc with the market.

I admit I'm now getting old and sensible, but I, personally, can't afford a
new bike every two years - I really wish I could :)

The engine appears to be sitting higher in the frame so there's likely
to be something in the belly pan.
Why on earth would you want to?

On a completely daft view point - Less impact protection (!) - in the
accident where I got rammed the exhaust did a nice job of getting in the
way - guess it would just be the subframe/riders arse now.
I wouldn't - but it's still a reasonably large market and from a racing POV
you probably would want to - it was hypothetical rather than "I must get
    one!".

TBH I'd love another sports bike but the back pain they cause is still too
    fresh in my mind :)

Of course it's not, but since when has biking been about necessity?

The market also plays a part IMO. If there wasn't a demand they
    wouldn't do it surely?

It's got a "tuned" GSX-R600 engine in it ... interesting idea - does look
    quite nice.

Now if they could just do one with the GSX-R 1000 engine in it...
