  2. Spanish food is generally a bit shit. "Paella" = rice and bugs.

  3. Go before Christmas (a bit late to do now) so you get back before the
festivities or a week or so after and you can get those prices. Include
Christmas and you are talking nearer £1000 for the same holiday.

Another good time to go for an "expensive" holiday is Feb-March. Another
big dip in the prices then.

  4. I do a very nice Valencian Paella I'll have you know!

  5. I've been to the Canneries several times, mostly in the winter time and
always had a very pleasant relaxing holiday. The local food is very
    good.

A point of note: Steaks have always been very good but I've never seen a
bovine looking beast anywhere on the islands.

I like it when people tell me things that I already know about my job.

I love Fuerta for the windsurfing, but the food's shit. It's the only
place I've been where 'seasonal vegetables' means half a boiled cabbage.

I don't think BA are charging for food and drink on their planes, even
    in cattle class.

And I should know- I flew cattle from Brussels to LHR recently. It was
    fine.

  13. You see your difficulty ( I didn't say problem ) is although you heard
what I said what you didn't appreciate was what you understood what I
said it wasn't what I meant.

Let's face it .................It's not rocket science.

And they had food on board? Basel-LHR services are still 'suffering'
from the Gate Gourmet dispute so have nothing more than tea & coffee
on board. Still, we got vouchers for 20 quid (redeemed for real ale
and food at wetherspoons) as well as using the BA lounge, so a bonus
    really.
