    ITYM 40 quid/day...

Anyway, 20 quid/day is easy if you don't always eat out.

We had a week in Majorca last year in a 3-bedroom villa,
flights & car hire. That was just over 300 quid each, plus
food & drink, so it can be done.

<looks at snowboarding holiday booked for January>

It's not that optimistic, although I don't think Sweden has a great
    deal of hot.

why can't anyone read the fucking OP.

He wanted 400pppw all fucking inclusive, flights and everything.

Well £400pppw at half board only leavers lunches to be covered so its pretty
bloody close! £400 to Tenerife includes flights. More to the point he
specifically said he didn't want the Canaries. The issue was simply that BGN
    doesn't know what £400 buys.

    Half board != All Inclusive.
    I beg to differ.

It's not. Just that I got in and snapped up a couple of cheap flights
from BMIBaby and have a contact out there who does apartments out of
peak season for £100 / week.
You have to try quite hard to spend more than that, to be honest. 10
euros for a decent 2 course meal and a half litre of local lager
(Sagres) at 1.50 euros means you spend feck all.

I understand all of these things. OP stated "including
food/drink/everything" - I count 'everything' as All Inclusive and not
    Full Board.

Leaving the arguments up there ^ alone, sticking "All inclusive,
    January,
    1 week, <400pp" into lastminute.com yields 87 results.

Most are Canaries, Tunisia etc.but it's a start.

Here's #1 on the list: "Popular 5* Taba, Red Sea"

Even lastminute.com has fully inclusive packages at a 4* hotel at present
for less than £300 pppw. Yes that is 'fully inclusive' and with flights and
everything. For £400 you can do very well.

I know you do, I was trying to hint to Andrew that half board plus lunch
    doesn't equal all inclusive.

Yes - £260/head/week (as you wrote) is closer to £40/head/day
It helps keep the cost down.)

Seriously, we had a nice villa, it was out of season so some places
    weren't
open and some of the ones that were opened & closed at strange times.

Staying in and cooking using fresh produce from the local markets was
a part of what we wanted to do.
And anyway, it was a first 'romantic' holiady together - staying in was
    the better option )
