Old NGKs: 48,502 miles at 36.3 mpg
Splitfire: 10,364 miles at 39.1 mpg.

    Worth the expense/difference/effort ?

    Dunno.

    =£101 / 1000 miles

    Therefore cost for a million miles is £101,000 + (pricea * 1000000 / 48502)
    =£94 / 1000 miles

    Therefore cost for a million miles is £94,000 + (priceb * 1000000 / 10364)

So by my calculations, if the NGK were only £5 you'd still save money by
using Splitfire unless the Splitfires were over £80. So I think I'm saying
that Splitfire are well worth it.

But of course, I might be totally wrong. So I recommend that you check my
    figures.

    Whilst true, I'm being unreasonable...

The less miles you do, the closer the prices need to be to be economical...

If the NGK were £20 and the splitfires were £30 and you did 80,000 miles,
you'd save about £400 using Splitfires.

But then again, I might be wrong. Someone who knows excel will be along
shorly to confirm (or otherwise) my figures.

    My head hurts now.

You've not factored in replacing the plugs every 15K or so...

  7. You have no figures for new NGK's. So probably not.
