Excellent, many thanks for the very quick response. :-D

No wonder it felt a bit vague round a roundabout earlier!

As I learned, it depends on the tyres. On my bandit6 the manual says 36/31,
but Dunlop's site for the D207 says 41/36.

So I opted for Dunlop's recommendation and improved the handling loads.

Is this standard for all Honda motorcycles?

Hmm, just checked Bridgestone's site and apparently I should be running the
014 at 42PSI in the back, rather than 36 - might have to give that a try.

Seems to be pretty much standard for all modern road bikes over 600cc.

I did that with 010s after switching from Corsas - the worrying thing
is I never 'felt' anything was wrong. Maybe 6 PSI isn't enough to make
a real difference for road riding.

Yeah - manual does say 36/36 though. Certainly nothing 'wrong' with 36 -
suspect I won't notice a difference with 42 TBH but I shall see.

    No.

Nor is it standard for all tyres fitted to any particular Honda (or
    any other) motorcycle.

And one exception appears to be the Suzuki SV650 at 33/36

Considering there's usually at least one tit on top, you could be right.

When my brother first got his R1150R, he set the tyre pressures exactly as
specified in the handbook. However, there was a misprint in the handbook,
so the spec was 2.8 (IIRC) bar, but the conversion given was the multiplier,
not the actual pressure. So he did the first thousand-odd miles with the
    front on 14.5 PSI...
