just to cheer you up, seems the weather has been causing a problem on the
GWR http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-12066146 - it hasn't snowed so ice
    or staff shortages maybe?

You might want to check your proposed route back: there's a restricted
service between Worcester & Oxford due to signalling problems. There won't
be a replacement bus service if the signals pack up altogether.

    I had a boss like that once;

Him: But it stopped snowing 2 days ago

Me: That may be the case where you are, but you're in Indiana, USA and
    I'm in Bedford, UK

It's not even 120 miles, my parents 15 miles away are pretty much
snowed in, with about 8 inches of snow on a cul-de-sac at the top of a
hill, there's already been a street full of vehicular comedy, whilst
here there's little more than a good dusting.

The area round Warwick is a nightmare I'm told - they shut our office
the other day as the access roads were supposedly impassable.

So pleased I really don't have to travel.

It's pretty bad there - Caz has had trouble getting her car out of the
village and onto main roads, which aren't much better.

She's decided that working from home is a far easier way to survive.

I was allowed to leave Barrow at 12:30 today but only so I could go to
Kendal to pick up a van load of equipment and go to Sittingbourne
first thing in the morning for a different job. Fucking great, M25 on
    Xmas eve.

It's not like they haven't got a dual carriageway virtually to the
    door.
