Anyone got access to a Kwak manual that shows the picture of the Oil Screen
Plug being removed or can advise numskull here where to look. I've tried on
ebay, they don't seem to sell the picture there, only forks.

I've got a photocopy manual that came with the parallel import which was 2nd
hand to me, and I can't work out where they mean by looking at my bike, or
    work out from the picture.

It is currently eluding me, the crafty bugger. I have already realised it is
not the drain plug, but it could be under the three bolts that are centered
around the Filter cartridge itself. I'm stumped.

Ah I think this may explain it and might help me find it a bit easier.
    Sorry.

First of all, know this: there's a Haynes Book of Lies available for the
700/750/800 Vulcan series. I suggest you obtain a copy.

Second, grovel in the dirt on the nearside of your cycle, and look behind
the frame rail in the area slightly aft of the sidestand attachment point.
What you'll see is the cover indicated with the arrow in this picture (27):

Note that the cover comes off toward the side of the engine, /not/
    downwards.

That's *sideways*, got it? If you're undoing bolts around the filter
cartridge at the front of the engine, desist immediately.

In picture 27, you're looking at the bottom of the engine from the left
side, and slightly to the rear. It's a picture of a 1500, but the 800 is
    similar.

Thanks very much ta Platypus. I think I have an angle on my attack and
potentially back on the road for tommorow morning ( if the BBC weathers pred
ictively positive forecast doesnt curse any potential for a bimble because
of actual rain/sleet/snow/hail from out of nowhere).
