to qualify against a monthly/quarterly/annual sales target, usually
measured in terms of registrations. Hence many dealers pre-registering
bikes just before critical cut-off dates.

Seems a bit daft for something that would mostly appeal to collectors &
    never see the road.

Lol. £13.95 for a set of Mintex brake pads and you think
I'm going to pay a BMW dealer over £50 an hour to fit them?

I'd heard that Italia actually had two for sale from
customers that didn't complete; dunno if that's right tho.

I was talking to my mate Eric about them the other week
and we pretty much decided that it would be of no use
whatsoever: too fast for the road, too expensive to park
anywhere and leave it, too expensive to ride properly
on a track day and too much money to sit and look at.

As I've said before, it'll be a DB9 before one of those.

I think this is one of thoses cases where if you think the expense
can't be justified, you can't afford it, regardless of what you have in
    the bank.

Probably. I know a couple of owners in the club that have
them but then again they don't have kids to feed and have
sold off their other bikes/cars to get one. Two of those
are actually bike riding couples that have bought it
    between them, iyswim.

I made the mistake of telling the missus how much they
were a while back, so she really would freak if I bought
one and would suss me really quickly if the other bikes
    were sold off...

As Ogden says, if you have to consider it in such terms, it's too
expensive for you i.e. you don't have enough money.

Quite. Having sold my two flats, I currently have enough money to buy
    that *and* a DB9.

I'm not going to do it though, as it would have a pretty negative
effect on the Long Term Plan, as well as getting me severely bruised
    knackers I suspect.

You could always arrange an accident.

It'll be cheaper in the long run, trust me on this.
