Paging Abso - odd people at Paddington

One of those 'I really wish I hadn't voted for the fuckers' moments.
Unfortunately they are coming all too frequently and with ever
increasing amounts of alarm attached to them.
'But its for our own safety, we should be grateful for strong
government it is what the sheep, sorry public, want'
But do they get the media coverage? I honestly have no idea, other
than having heard odd mumbles suggesting this. I'm studiously avoiding
the news, have been for a couple of months. I catch the odd headline
summary on the radio and see links in here. I've become horribly ill
informed and the ostrich method suits me at the moment.

Without coverage what capital (hmmm) can they make from this? I
imagine the election timing will be interesting. I'll wait until then
before I start paying attention again.

Why should they? The government is being /democratic/ - this is a
    democratic action.

Hmm, foreign accented people in London - must be dodgy. It's not as if
it's one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world is it?

Incidentally, regarding the Paddington contingent, their little raiding
party disappeared after last week's raids.

I remember reading a recruiting ad for the Met saying it was *the*
most cosmopolitan city in the world - over 200 identifiable
communities from other countries, and confident that there was at
least once person from every country in the world living there.

See, he doesn't, poor old thing. Not even enough time to post the words
he'd meant to type in his message.

Maybe we could have a campaign where we all chipped in five minutes for
Simes. Poor old chap's like a national institution, we'd be lost
    without him.

I'm amazed you notice these things considering I sat across from you on the
Bakerloo line this morning and you completely ignored me.

Obviously one may not be related to the other, but anyway.

  14. Oh dear. Didn't you eventually say hello or were you waiting to see if
    he'd ever notice you?

Did you really? Christ but that was a lucky escape eh?
Probably related to me usually snoozing my way through my tube journey
with my eyes shut. Either that or I recognised you. Perhaps we'll
    never know..

Well obviously I wasn't _entirely_ sure as the last time I paid any
attention Abso was working in Windsor.
I also didn't want to say "hello" and then both of us look stupid.

He got off at Baker Street anyway.
