Felt the need to fit a steering damper?

Had my R6 about 3 weeks now and have had some pretty nasty slappers on
it <insert joke>. I dont mind the odd steering shake here and there,
but twice now I thought it was going to chuck me off. Is it just me?

They've always done that, right back since the 1999 model.

Indeedy - I put an Ohlins on mine, cos I like shiny kit.

Yep, I've got an Ohlins on my new bike, but still have it on the first
click so I can get used to how much it's needed.

Those ripples in the garage floor can be most upsetting. You might
want to go to three clicks.

    Beelzebub says...
No, you put an Ohlins on yours because it was free :)

That was surreal. IRTA 'nipples in the garage floor'.

Looks like it has to be done then. Ohlins + fiting kit seems to be
around 350 sovs (still, at least I dont have the wife to moan about
such things anymore!). Although there's an ebay shop flogging a Sprint
one with fittings for 235. Is it worth saving over 100 quid?
