    Nige.

Am I correct in thinking you have a Range Rover 4.6 and if
so how do you find it?

I had a 2.5TD once and even chipped was flat, not bothered about
fuel consumption but I understand there was (is) a problem with
the engines and the linings etc?

Any help would be good, looking to get a 51 reg version with 55k
miles and full dealer history down here in sunny Oxford.

    Thanks
    Alan

Superb, but thirsty, towing is great & the engine noise is lovely.
It's nowhere near as bad as some folk would have you believe, whip the
plugs out & see if any are cleaned off with steam etc. Check for water
consumption too. The main thing are theelectronics, but you know that
    already I'll bet. Find a good one & you'll love it, a bad one & you'll
    not.
Give it a very good look over matey.

Have a gander here www.rangerovers.net loads of info.

    Cheers

Is it the Jag V8 or is that just the RR Sport? The Nikasil problems with the
    Jags stopped around 98.

No, it's the old rover V8, prous blocks & slipped liners, but it's
    mainly the 4.0
