Would someone mind going and measuring something for me?

WUN was showing me his (fnaar) on the Island and he mounted it using a
bracket around the clip-on. I need to know how wide the bracket is so
I can check it'll fit mine.

I'd like to get one, but it's a bit short notice for a trip and don't
have time to get additional mounting parts before I go.

    Ta.

I think Ben's more concerned about the width than the diameter, as it
were. Gixers don't have a lot of usable spare bar length, see.

That would be the diameter of the bracket. I need to know the width
to see if I have enough room on my clipon for it.

Thanks for that. I've only got 0.5cm to play with.

I'm going to leave buying on anyway. It's not like Scotland has many
roads so it's pretty had to get lost. Especially when your tour
consists of "Go North till you run out of land, turn left, repeat till
you run out of land, turn left again, ride till you hit Birmingham".

Oh, that's doable. I'll be going John O'Groats to Fort William, so
going via that and the A836 across the top only sticks another 50
miles on and 2 hours on. Assuming I can find a petrol station halfway
    down it mind.
That looks nice, but would make the day too long.

I'd wish you luck but you obviously don't need it - anyone who can say
"I've only got 0.5cm to play with" in this company and get away with
it is clearly living a charmed life... ;o)

I don't need luck[1]. I've got a perfectly good Visa card and AA
    cover.

[1] It'd be nice if it doesn't actually rain all week, but it's
    Scotland, so it will.

Not necessarily! We got away with it for a whole week at the beginning
of July. Hope it goes well.
