I'm obviously getting more stupid by the minute because, apart from
the fact that the article is on the BBC site, I don't see any
association with Ogden at all, let alone how it would "extensively rip

The trouble with most punk is that it sounds so naive and tame these
days. I have a soft spot for Suspect Device by Stiff Little Fingers, but
there's not much comedy mileage in that.

How about Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) by Green Day. That's punk,
