Most of those sites are in serious need of calibration. You normally
need at least two and a radar feed like Avbrief or UKMO for correlation.
The only accurate ones I've found are the delayed output charts from
    places like Ulm.

Ah yes, Florida in September seemed to be like clockwork. Damn hot and
sunny all day, then it would get dark, then it would have a cracking storm
for an hour or so, then be nice by late evening ready for another damn hot
    and sunny day.

I like a good thunderstorm me.
Absolutely **** all here though, not even a murmur.
    Skies are decidedly iffy though.

After having the trots for a few days the idea of thunder *outside* the bog
    will be a novelty!

    Warm init?
I didn't need to last night. You should have seen the rain. Lashing down
it was, must have been a months worth at least and twas 3ft deep on some
    roads. Gah, water everywhere.

    How's it where you are?

I suppose if it had dumped that much rain over 200 miles of country, it
would be seriously impressive/worrying. I guess it's not suprising it ran
    out of huff.

It got its huff back. It has been pissistently raining for the last hour
and we've have a good dollop of thunder.

  10. Drought unfortunately. Hardly a drop since last June. The lakes all
dried out so there's no flamingos and subsequently no tourists. I don't
mind the last bit, but the economy will suffer.

Still no hosepipe ban though ;-)

There's a guy in work is at Glastonbury with the bint. They've taken the
tent, obviously, although they're neither of them great camping types. Last
night was lovely, so they'll have been sitting around all evening getting
tinned up. Judging by the weather radar this morning, the storm will have
hit Glasto about 3AM. According to his mate, who's been on loads of
installations and overnighters with him, he generally needs a serious dump
first thing, especially if he's been on the piss. So things will have been
getting a bit edifying in the cold, wet light of dawn...

Some idiots tried to smuggle themselves into Glasto by finding out who
provided the portaloos and hiding in them

When the lorry stopped they waited a bit and got out ... it was at a
service station - I presume the driver saw them
