No, but no dount it's enough for the likes of the Daily Mail & Brake to
exert pressure.

 

Especially when they can't say how many, if any, of those were at
camera sites. Obviously they know, but don't /want/ to say. Which is
quite telling.

 

Especially during a period when fuel prices and the recession have been
doing crazy things to the number of miles driven.

 

Which was the 'April Fool' piece on Radio 4 this morning?
I couldn't decide between getting all of Oxfordshire to slow down,
getting the whole country to wave their hands in front of their faces,
or turning Scotland into a launchpad.

 

Dunno, I'm not old enough to listen to Radio 4.

Whilst listening to R1 this morning, I found that I couldn't care less

It's a radio station most famous for the shipping forecast & a soap
opera. You seem to be confusing intelligence with pseudo-intelligence.

 

News, current affairs, arts, politics, In Our Time (which, on its own,
would justify R4's existence), ISIHAC and other comedies (some good and
some feeble, admittedly, but it allows people a place to start), From
Our Own Correspondent, drama, science and natural history, interesting
documentaries and the World Service through the night. Works for me.
