    All expenses except for actually buying stock? I'm sure Asda could
    turn 20% profit if someone filled their shelves for nothing.

    Even small three-till outfits in the valleys could probably break
    even.

    Not having to pay the business rates helps a bit too. In Otley, Leeds
    council has set the business rate at the same level as for central Leeds,
    which means the trad shops are shutting, and lots of charidee shops are
    opening. Tesco's sold out to Waitrose, and Sainsbury's are planning to set
    up shop.

    I four can eight supermarkets.
