And the response is "And yes the lesson here is WEAR LEATHER or PLASTIC
ARMOR boots that go above the ankle.."
    **** me!
How about; DON'T DO STUPID FUCKING STUNTS!

I am glad that something finally happened though 'coz I was sick of
    watching the endless boring wheelies...

No, no, the lesson is: DON'T FALL OFF WHILE DOING STUPID FUCKING STUNTS!
    ESPECIALLY NOT ON VIDEO!

I can't see how a "LEATHER or PLASTIC ARMOR boot" is going to save you
from a compound fracture that nasty anyway. Maybe reduce it a bit
by keeping all this bits more pointing in the right general direction
and thus easier for medical personnel to identify ... but you're not
going to walk away from it just because you were wearing a pair of
    shiny brand-name boots.

To be fair, though, the sticky-outy bloodied bit poking through the tear
in the sock looks too rounded to be cleanly identifiable a break. I'd
suggest that's the head of his tibia and that his foot's hanging down
like that because he's subjected himself to the mother of all ligament
tears... I'd also venture that a decent race boot would've reduced the
gore rating on that injury from a clear 8 (equivalent to the opening
sequence of "Saving Private Ryan") to about a 3 (mass barfight in a Burt
    Reynolds redneck movie).

Where's Manning when you need him?
