OT/WTD: Linux Herder

  1. Well, I did manage to get promoted onto that pay-scale last year.
    Some dispute with HR over which level I should be on, though, as there was
    a change of salary scales before the promotion came into effect.

    I only found out about grid computing as I used to keep getting hits
    on my web site for it. My company was called Grid IT (someone else now
    uses the company name and domain). The only reason I chose that was
    that it meant I could have a logo made up of my initials and the
    letters "IT", like this -

    GRiD
    t

    It made quite a good logo in the right typeface and colours with a
    grid background. I wish I'd kept hold of the domain name now (though I
    think I probably have too many as it is).
