Looking for an all-in-one solution to share my BB connection between a
desktop and a new (to me) laptop. Currently using a BT Voyager usb modem.
A wireless modem/router and prefereably pcmia card seems to be what I'm
    after.

Just wondered if the FOAK had any preference before I spend the 'hard'
    earned.

    TIA

Solve both your problems in one package. 3Com OfficeConnect Wireless router
with a free Wireless G USB adapter.

    http://www.dabs.com/productview.asp...&SearchKey=All&SearchMode=All&NavigationKey=0

Or just go to dabs and search for 395KWS in the Quicklinx box.

    £46.88. Bargain.

I took the advice proffered by several in here and bought a Netgear
DG834G Wireless ADSL Modem Router. Dead easy to set up, 'specially as
we already had pcmcia wireless cards and connection software
    installed.

Works for me. Only proviso being that range in a house built of decent
    brick can be surprisingly short.

Seems virtually no-one has a bad word to say about netgear so I bought the
very one you mentioned along with a Dabs cheap and cheerfull pcmia card.
Very impressed by the fact netgear seem to offer 24/7 phone support - even
though I hope I wont need it.

    Thanks again.

    As Ace said - I've the DG834GT - it's been abosolutely rock steady -
which is more than can be said of those tossers at BT who've taken 12
days to repair my 'Business' broadband connection.
