I apply for temporary membership of the TWO club.

I also apply for very temporary membership of the "I'm going to bed
after taking shit loads of pain killers and hope it hurts less
    tomorrow" club.

    Pulled onto roundabout.
Dryish road, not being silly, just usual driving.
Back end did a 2.8 Capri impression.
Front end said hello to a 5" square support post cunningly placed on
the central reservation when I exited the roundabout sideways.

At sometime during the frivolities the NSR wheel smacked the kerb hard
enough to smash the alloy and wreck the gearbox - I think. It didn't
move far when I tried to move it to a layby and made horrible noises
from the back. Might just be the CV joint though. Engine sounded fine.

I'm guessing that that, plus the fact it needs a new front end, door
skins, etc, will probably write it off.

I walked home. Everywhere a bit sore and bad knee rather sorer.

    <sigh>

Milton Keynes? I love those roundabouts. I always think I could have
done it a little faster and got the back end out slightly more.
Never done a 911 impression though.
Hope you're not too sore this morning.

It's ok until you find out you have to replace your front left tyre
    every 3,000 miles.

I had a race with a guy in a 7 series across MK once. I took great
delight in watching him do a 360 and a bit more as he exited the
roundabout and ended up beached sideways on the central reservation.

e you're not too sore this morning.
    Aye, GWS.

    Might have been.

TBH after wondering what I'd done wrong in the bike accident, what I
could have done, etc, etc, its all kind of pointless isn't it? Can't go
back in time and change things, NCB will still be looking sorry for
    itself.

    <shrug>

On a related note, anyone got a reliable SO-BMW 535 auto or similar?
Upto 5K (quid, not miles). For now I think I'll get something old, big,
cheap and slightly luxurious until what I really want next comes down
    in price a bit.

The merc has more toys than TCR, the Alfa is just, well, it just is, ok?
Might not handle that well, but its an Alfa.
My shed is sad. And has 3.75 wheels. And no front, coolant, radiator,
its lights probably illuminate clouds and I don't think it needs ABS
    any more.

Saying that, I do have 3 garden sheds, an assortment of trailer wheels
/ bike stand wheels and a petrol strimmer...

A volvo hit my car up the arse tonight - a fair bit of damage to the
    front bodywork

I must scrape the paint off my tow bar sometime

    To follow up:-

    Car value (before) ~?22k
    Repair estimate ?19.5k

That'll be a write off then.

Apparently no two wheels were pointing the same way and the exhausts
were pointing a bit sideways too, god knows what had happened
    underneath.
