Yep, spot on. The only thing Ford made for those vehicles were the
badges. Designed in Bedfordshire and built at the Nissan plant
    somewhere in Spain.

I had a 2.7TD 7 seater 5 door for a few months last year nand loved it.
Comfy, quiet, not quick but no slug. It wasn't too hot on fuel though,
even on a run from Bedford to Bristol and back the best I could manage
    was 30mpg.

Mine was sold because the insurance renewal quote was stupidly high and
I had 2 Mitsubishi Evo Vs sitting on the driveway to play with so
    didn't need it any more.

Yep. On confused, £4,800. It wasn't just insurance, it was reassuringly
    expensive insurance.

  7. Maybe I've seen sense, we have just got back from Letchworth Car
Auctions with a very tidy, 1996 Ford Fiesta Ghia auto for £450, no
tax, but a years MOT. He 's well pleased and I think its OK.

And they wonder why there are so many uninsured cars around.

    Yup.

Also look for rot under the door seals on the A-pillars, on the sills,
arches, tailgate and just about everywhere else....

    Is it a 1.3?

Don't think they made a 1.3 auto Fiesta in '96.

The first year I put Laura on the insurance for the Multipla, it bumped the
premium by around £650, the second year by around £250. It would have been
£250 again this year, but she's not around to use it.

    I paid 300 quid for a 1999 T plate Fiesta 1.25 Zetec a few months ago.
I sold it to my nephew for 500 and he got it at half the normal retail
value because I was in a good mood that day.
