I'm trying, but I'm not being very successful at it. Even the "hugely
expensive MOT" wasn't *that* bad as the guys made up the missing
spacer themselves and just fitted new bushes to the shock absorber. So
it cost me a rear brake disc and a couple of quid extra for the
    above...

I'm sorry worried that I'm losing my touch that I've bought a
    completely, utterly daft Japanese car...

That is not a result, it is merely chapter 1.

Andy Hewitt was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever:
No, weirder. And dafter. And considerably older. A perfectly nice
college kid and granny-friendly sports coupe...

.... and then some deranged Englishman came along, removed all the
emmissions gear and replaced the complicated Nikki (I think) carb with
a plain ol' SU. Oh, and stuck a Garret T3 on it for good measure. And
because 'ard men never brake, they left the rest of the car mostly
    standard...

I'll see that I'll stick a few pictures up sometime tomorrow so you
can all laugh at the crazy Boxhead again. Apart from Catman, who's
both seen and heard the car running.

Well, it's *not* a Honda, and the gearbox appears to be OK.

LOL, yes, they were crap. Being assembled [1] at Longbridge didn't help
    though.

[1] used in the loosest possible terms.

From what I know of early RX7s, they're one of the few cars that rust
and kill engines quicker than anything Italian ;-)
