    It's got a fucking CARBURETTOR for crying out loud. 90 spec 8V or 16V for
    around £1500 will be depreciation proof, and you should be able to get one
    with power steering.

    OTOH I'd not recommend a MK2 to somebody wanting "just a car", as whilst
    they are very well screwed together, there are a couple of common rust spots
    (above petrol filler and the A pillars).
