A "highly unstable[1]" approach to Rome by a Ryanair jet. <http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/2009/06/11/327687/ryanair-captain-f lew-unstable-approach-days-after-sons.html> And a very telling comment: "Italy's ANSV investigation agency says the captain's three-month-old son had died just a few days before the Niederrhein-Rome Ciampino flight, but he had not informed anyone of the situation, partly out of concern for his job." That rather speaks volumes about the company, doesn't it? I had a similar situation to deal with when I was sales manager with a team of reps. Divisional **** manager's attitude was to tell me to advise the bloke concerned that the company were not social workers when his kid was terminally ill. We dealt with things on a strictly need to know basis after that. The thought of that particular **** still manages to boil my piss, and I left that job over 10 years ago. -- Dan L Too much time to think, too little to do. http://thebikeshed.spaces.live.com/ 1992 kawasaki ZXR400 (The one wiv the hoover tubes) Coming soon to a patio near me. 2003 Ducati 900SS FF (Woo hoo) 2002 Triumph Sprint RS 955i (BTDT) 1996 Kawasaki ZR1100 Zephyr (Gone, but not forgotten) BOTAFOT #140 (KotL 2005/6/7/8) X-FOT#000 DIAABTCOD #26 BOMB#18 (slow) OMF#11
Only used them once or twice, but the business of them getting me to where I wanted to go was just fine. Don't like the way they add a gazillion extras to their headline prices, mind. EasyJet I've used many, many times, all without any problem.
You say that, but I checked in an extra holdall with RyanAir when I returned from Malta and didn't have to pay a penny more than I already had. I'd flown out with just my Kriega rucksack as hand luggage and came back with a holdall filled with bits and bobs I bought there. The Maltese check in staff were charming and advised me to drink one of the bottles of Kinnie I had as the bag was slightly overweight.
All I can say is that BA have lost my luggage twice yet I've never had that problem with EasyJet. I think they're fine and you get what you pay for.
I've never lost luggage but Delta have sent it a day late. It wasn't me flying Sleazyjet but I had organised the flight, so ya boo. I know their quality of service from Belfast has improved but it only had one way to go.

Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Buzby I'd want to ask some pertinent questions about why the evacuation was begun before the port prop had spun down. -- Wicked Uncle Nigel - "He's hopeless, but he's honest" I have already made the greatest contribution to the fight against climate change that I can make: I have decided not to breed. we're flying from Stansted to Faro (return) next week. 4 people, for £416 inc. all taxes/fees. I really don't think that's half bad. And last weekend I flew return from Stansted/Belfast for £39 inc. - it's cheap as chips, and I've never had any problems with them. Don't like the "Bullseye Baggies", mind, and the cabin crew are entirely monstrous to the eye, but - hey! - it's cheap.
Johnny Foreigner, what do you expect? Anyway, the prop line is a reasonable distance behind the front door. There was a mid-fuselage door in use, but not until after the front door had opened, crazily enough.
