It wasn't "Bad" where I was taught; it was 'Black'. Worryingly the
physics teacher didn't seem at all concerned about saying this and the
nervous laughter of the class was because it was about sex and not
    because of the racist content.

Shows how much society has changed in the last thirty or so years
    really. Changed positively IMO.

It seems reasonable to me that I call myself whatever I want without
causing offense but if you call me the same thing it could well cause me
    offense. YMMV.

However, we've done this to death in the past and I really can't be
    bothered this evening.

  4. I heard the black version after I'd heard that one. Black makes more
sense, in a mnemonic way. At the time I thought the 'rape' content was a
bit iffy, preferring 'ride'. All the same though, the number of girls in
electronics classes were zero at the time, so nobody really thought
    about it.
    Troo.

A one line throwaway comment constitutes whining?

    I think not.
