OT Thick mode on

I have a right angled triangle, with the base length 10"
the height 3" so the Hypotnuse i think is 10.44"

If so, whats the other two angles inside the triangle?
I know there all supposed to add up to 180 but my
brain has stopped working.

You need to use the SOHCATTOA rules for trig finctions.

e.g. Sin(a) (where a is the smallest angle) = Opposite/Hypotenmuse
= 3/10.44
So a =ArcSin(3/10.44) = 16.7 deg.

you can work out the others, I suspect.

It has to be the smallest angle in Ace's statement because he was
calculating the smallest angle. If he was referring to the other acute
angle the sine would have been 10/10.44.

As a pedant, I should point out that it's a bit daft using approximate
derived values instead of the two exact given ones.

Hypotenmuse SP As a pedant, I was trying to point out that Sin(a) =
Opposite/Hypotenuse for BOTH angles

 

It's considered bad form to correct someone's spelling, unless you can
make a joke out of it, such as "You misspelled hippopotamus"
(or fictions, or DSTIUTA).

You need some new trig tables 90+16.69+73.0 does not equal 180
