    With "Tim Minchin" mentioned in the message?

    A bit like saying it's good to open a Cane link.

    I'm surprised. granted he's not beena household name for years, but lately
    he's been popping up on a few chat shows where he tones down his usualy
    stuff.

    He's actually Nige at a piano :)

    Know then thyself, presume not God to scan
    The proper study of Mankind is Man.
    Placed on this isthmus of a middle state,
    A Being darkly wise, and rudely great:
    With too much knowledge for the Sceptic side,
    With too much weakness for the Stoic's pride,
    He hangs between; in doubt to act, or rest;
    In doubt to deem himself a God, or Beast;
    In doubt his mind or body to prefer;
    Born but to die, and reas'ning but to err;

    argh. That was a genuine whoosh.
    I'm not into any of that crap, so the reputation of my namesake kinda
    slipped by me. I'm not into early 18th Century poetry, either, for
    that matter, so parsing A. Pope is only slightly less tedious.

    I gathered :)
    I'm definitely not into that stuff either, but lessons learned at a church
    school (or stories told) when you're at an impressionable age tend to stay
    forever. I think I heard it last week :)
