OT.. The Intelligence Bill

As of 2:30 PM today, it was reported that the Intelligence Bill is expected
to be voted on within a matter of hours.. It was also reported that this
Bill is about 3000 pages in length.. There is no comprehensive summary of
the Bill..

This means that our Representatives will be voting on another Bill which
they have not read.. All they know about it, is what they've heard. Is this
the kind of representation that we've elected to make sure that our best
interests are served ? How ?

It would seem that after the fiascos of the many Bills which have been
rushed through and passed into law, we'd have learned something.. anything
...

Another recent boondoggle has been the Spending Bill that was passed.. It
was about equal to the number of pages involved.. The urgency to pass this
Bill in such haste, causes me to worry about what is involved in the Bill
that could affect each of us.. Our legislators are not representing their
constituents when they vote on Bills which they have no idea of what is
contained in them.. This Bill could be the Hallmark of all legislation..
But.. then again, it could contain inclusions by "staffers" which would be
disastrous.. Who knows ? Our legislators.. I think not.. How could they ..
they've not read the Bill.. This is insanity within our government..

DAMN!!!!

I thought by the title that it was going to be something which would surely
be objected to by Nurick+Ass, texgays and Mark "Plop" Johnson. Maybe even
Johnny Moron would be against such a bill.

For the first time in a week, I was able to actually get out and ride today.
The sky cleared off and it warmed up. The pavement dried and out I went! Man
it was NICE!!!

 

The Bill was passed in the House and is going to the Senate today.. Today ..
we should all make clear to our own Senators that this Bill should be
studied carefully before he/she votes on it..

Unfortunately, our system enables inclusions and amendments to important
legislation .. The leadership, then becomes frantic to push the Bills
through and exclaim their importance.. The recent Spending Bill has many
such inclusions and amendments that have been incorporated into the Bills..
They are being discovered, after the fact.. All the players insist, they
don't know how they were incorporated nor who is responsible, usually an
anonymous "staffer" is blamed.. I did NOT vote for a staffer to decide
legislation that affects me, my family, friends or my Nation..

Regardless of which Party anyone affiliates with, the Representative that is
too damn busy to study the legislation of our country's business, is too
damn busy to hold office.. As with the Spending Bill, this Intelligence Bill
is going to create vast bureaucracies and involve billions of dollars of
taxpayer money.. For that reason alone, every legislator who votes on the
Bill should know what it contains.. In addition to that, the Bill will
contain provisions that may directly affect freedom and liberty..We don't
know, because our elected Representatives can't tell us what is in the
Bill.. I've ASKED..

What kind of democratic government have we become ? What kind of leadership
have we allowed to take control of our government.?? The manner in which
OUR country is being led, is OBSCENE..

I contend that Americans have lost much of their "common sense".. We've
elected a representative leadership without integrity and courage..We've
allowed these leaders to persuade us, they have the capacity to make us
"safe".. We've voted for them .. In spite of common knowledge that these men
and women have NO background of courage and integrity.. Phew .. maybe we no
longer deserve the entitlements of living in a free and democratic country..

Still having a few problems, but my doctor (ugly bitch) keeps telling me
that I'm getting better (whatever that means) ... Thanks..

we did to, three of us, rode to eat, rode and visited at Yamaha and
Honda Stores. There were a few riders on the streets.
I only wore my ''buffalo'' patched Marlon Brando type, motorsickle
jacket, with a black t-Shirt under......wasnt cold, but, chilly, when we
crusied once about 70.

You are right about the big time last minute rush during a lame duck session
and etc.

But, I do not see any changes for the better at this time. The insanity that
you are referring to has been standard operating procedure for more than 40
and more years in the Federal and State level.

Is there any one on the national and state levels of leadership of either
party that could or would attempt to correct the problem??

And, I find it strange that someone can harp on the presentation of an
insult rather than the actual insult itself. I for one think that a
Christian would take exception to putting down a guy, whether or not profane
