Very moving story behind the history of "To Kill a Mockingbird".

Equally eloquent account of Douglas Adams "THHGTG".

My vote is undecided between.....Asimov,Clarke,Anne McAffrey,Larry
    Niven,Robinson,Harry Harrison, L.Ron Hubbard, David
Gemmell,Pratchet,Elton,Frank Herbert, Julian May, and the miriads of worthy
    authors that adorn my library.

Some dating back to the `60`s when pulp fiction was at it`s height.....but
    tonight.....I choose...

The author of "Alien" ...Alan Dean Foster.

Not for the above ..but for his (to me in time of crisis) humerous
    "Spellsinger" series.

That`s tonights choice....tommorrow may bring on the big guns:)

Um, you do realise for "The Big Read" that voting is now limited to the 21
books listed on the web-site, don't you?

    http://bbc.co.uk/bigread

As none of the authors you've listed is represented that might narrow down
    your choice a bit.

    Wasn`t listing this years nominee`s ;-)

Plus I think it`s a stupid idea hosting this "entertainment" on the one
media that killed reading in the first place :p

Keep in to radio where blind people have got a better chance to nominate
their favourite book...Then the deaf can vote for it on Radio 3.
