I managed to transport some Pant-Ysgawn to the VCF AGM in 2006. I
produced it at the traditional cheese and sausage fest on the first
evening of the weekend. When I dipped an Asshourne charcoal wafer in to
the by then rather warm and ripe cheese they thought, at first, that I
was eating it on an after eight mint. They eventually pronounced the
chevre 'good' and were also grudgingly appreciative of the Halfpenny
Green 'Penny Black' white whine (black country vin du pays).

As to blue cheese with sweet things, you can't beat a creamy blue
(Cashel, Dolcelatte, St Agur) with wild strawberries IMO.

    I ordered 3 x Laithwaites cases (+ 3 free ones), and 2 from Virgin,
and probably have bought >50 bottles from Tesco/Sainsburys since that
    thread.

Maybe we drink too much wine.
