Just wondering if anyone knows wether a full bike licence can be used to
drive Robin Reliants, as someone at work said you don't need a full car
    licence to drive them.

BTW, I am not considering getting one, even tho they are cheap to insure,
low tax & quite cute. ;)

You can drive a Robin Reliant on a bike licence. My Dad had three in
the 1960s when he only had a bike licence.
They're not bad cars for what they are. They roll easy, sure, but
they're light to pick up once they're gone.

*cough*. I had one for a short while during a particularly cold
winter before I'd passed my cage test overe 20 years ago. I don't
think that the law has changed since.
They are *not* cute. Shit is the word that springs to mind.

Certainly is, much bigger, so much more to go wrong.......
Still, at least when I break down I do it in style.

I was about to point that out myself but you beat me to it.

Its one of things that really annoys me for some reason.

Probably because they're so fucking shit in the first place I think.

Now the Scimitar.....that was a different kettle of fish

I think you can drive any three wheeler on a full bike licence

    snip

There are/were of course other makes, I had a Coronet, 350cc Villiers
air cooled job. Best bits were the poorly fitting rag top, hence
almost as cold and wet as a bike; and the wheel layout 2 up front 1
behind you same as the Morgan. I couldn't turn it over great fun. But
slower than Brian the mollusc in the Magic Roundabout.

Apparently, the racers have a broom handle in the car with them. If it
rolls onto its side, they use the handy stick-out-of-the-window method to
    right themselves.

They seem to be quite quick, too, albeit I'd only want to try it in a
straight light. Driving a horrible Fiesta to Taunton once, one
overtook me on the M5 doing about 80 (downhill).

  15. Barrel of laughs as well. Nice SOC that doesn't rot away and is worth
so little that it's no problem to drive like it isn't going to hurt.

From what I've read, the chassis rots like there's no tomorrow - most of
the 'bargain' Scimitars out there are in need of major work underneath -
and some bits are a real PITA to fix.

One of my dad's mates had one. Rolled it on a roundabout in the snow,
and slid 30 yards up the road on it's roof.....

Numpties seem to have been doing it for decades. It's not as if I
have any love for the POS Tamworth Tripod, but nobody ever refers to a
Fiesta Ford, do they? It just grates, like.
Bloke called Robin. He had a bit of a rep for unreliability, I
    shouldn't wonder.
