OT. Real Player

Anyone know of any apps that will run Real Player files

I don't want to install Real Player as it conflicts with something on
my PC

There's something called RealAlternative, a free, non-realsoft player.
It works fine, but can't handle streamed media yet. As such I couldn't
listen to stuff off the bbc website anymore, so I had to go back to
realplayer8.

 

Yeah it's the only thing I dislike about the BBC broadcasts. RP is a PITA,
always trying to talk to base and feed you upgrade ads etc. until you tie it
down at the firewall. I've had a similar prob to BigJ as well. Stopping all
it's shennanigans and stripping it down as far as possible seemed to help
