Stupid lorry drove into the car I got to replace my uneconomical to
    repair one.

Just spoken to the insurance company, unsurprisingly they've written
    it off.

Now I've got to go through buggering about finding yet another car.

And I hate the new astras, visibility is crap and I can't see where
    the bonnet ends.

no point transferring it into your name now. I'd call that almost a
    result :)

She's happy as the insurance company are paying £300 more for it than
we'd agreed as a purchase price.

There's a lever on the right hand side that raises the seat - should
sort that... Visibility is just fine.

That makes more sense than my daughter's suggestion that I sit on a
    cushion.

The rear window is barely bigger than a letterbox and the rear quarter
    window things are tiny.

I hate it. Discourtesy car that's what it is.

So dont buy a Vauxhall, buy a car FFS.
Even one of those Nichole&Papa contraptions is better than an astra.

test drive it before buying it next time. and astras are a pile of shite,
in 2 years the ceiling felt[1] will all be falling down and it'll look
like it was made in the 1980s. and i don't mean knight rider.

tbh you don't need to see where the end of the bonnet is, though.

[1] sorry, "headlining" (nods in direction of absent bear)

    I didn't, I wouldn't - it's the discourtesy car.
    I want another Toyota.

Can none of you buggers read? It's the discourtesy car.
I do when getting onto the drive. Everything else I've driven I've had
a sense of where the car was - the astra seems immune to spatial
    awareness.

    I genuinely don't remember.

I mean, we had a Punto once, about 7 years ago, but it was fairly
    shit.
