OT Race for life sponsership thanks

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Work in progress, May 7, 2006.

  1. At the BOSM mini me asked me to ask those who knew her for sponsership
for the 5km 'Race for life' run. Between UKRM, friends and family
she's raised £130 about half of which is from UKRMers.

    Thank you all.

She's never run a race before so started a couple of hundred people
back. I had thought about running with her next year, but then saw how
well she did. She was the third child back in, taking 23 minutes 40
seconds, a good chunk of that was getting past the starters and
stopping to give me a kiss half way round.

I've told her we expect her to be doing the desert run that Suze did
    befroe too long.

By the time you arrived she'd filled the sponsership form up.

  6. Can I play the 'the sponsership form was full' card again here?

There's nothing stopping you both from donating direct you know...

If she'd waited, I could have helped her sort out the spelling.

Wow! That's a fantastic result and I bet she's chuffed to bits.

Sound like there's some talent there that needs to be cultivated. How
old is she? 2012 olympics perhaps?

Well done that little lady! :)

  11. I hoped you'd pop up. I thought it was good, particularly as she's
done no training, just gone out and run.
At the slightest provocation she'll show you her medal.
She's going to ask her PE teacher about running clubs.
She says 'thanks mad woman who ran in the desert'

Great stuff. Where are you located? We have quite a few youngsters that
come to our club, though it tends to be mostly through the summer or
    Saturday mornings.

    Good luck.

  14. Anout 3 miles from Ginge.
Sensible. Running is bad enough without adding rain and cold into the
    equation.
