I'm sure that others here run.

If you do and want something to measure your runs, speeds etc. etc. etc.
and play music at the same time you could do a lot worse than get this:

    http://www.apple.com/ipod/nike/

Bit of a bargain at 19 quid if you've already got an iPod Nano. If you
haven't then the pauper in me would direct you to the apple refurb
    store.

The one I've got said I'd run 8.5 miles when gmap pedometer reckoned it
was 8.5 mile route; which is a pretty good accuracy out of the box.

To top it all off I'd add a decent set of headphones which won't fall
    off like the Sennheiser PMX-70.

    That's all.

You ever tried a Garmin Forerunner 305? Wristworn GPS & datalogger thingy
with heart monitor with some fancy training software. Guy at work here got
one as a gift. The only running he'd ever do is to the pub to get in last
orders. He left it with me to see if I knew anyone who wanted it.

I haven't but it looked pretty good from what I saw 'cos it integrated a
    heart monitor as well.

If you'd let it go for fifty quid I'd be interested.

I've had a word, and he said ok. Email me with your address at
jmbyrne_AT_greenyonder_co_uk (blue instead of green obviously) and I'll send
it out on Monday. If it's ok for your requirements, send a cheque. If it's
not what you need, send it back.
    Cheers,
