OT : Porsche Driving Experience Centre

Absolutely brilliant.

Was invited along to the "Boxster 2" launch event there.

20 minute tour of the building (absolutely excellent view of the whole
Silverstone circuit from the top of their building) and then 1.5 hours
playing in the new cars on their test/demo circuits.

Skid pans, water slides, kick plate, "high speed" circuit (red line in 2nd
is as fast as you can get but its a lot of fun).

Great instructors there and the one I had taught me a lot, ex racing driver
who wasn't happy with me just saving a skid on the kick plate, he made me
keep doing it until I was able to controllably fishtail the car from the
initial slide to the end of the wet slide

Turned out Ross had a professional drift racer looking after him, I was
wondering why he was spending a long time on the skidpan going sideways.

If you get a chance to bag a freebie there, definitely do it. Paying to go
there for a day is something like £550 if you do all 5 courses.
