For various reasons I've been using Pan - how do I get it to filter by
    replies to my messages?

Compared to Xananews on windows it's shit but there appears to be so
    little available on linux.

Mozilla News doesn't seem to have go to my replies either.

The headers for catmans post show Mozilla Thunderbird.
I use Knode under KDE on SuSE 9.1 ( much furtled with ). Knode has an own
posts filter, so may be worth trying.

Knode also makes bozo binning a trivial task. One of the filters is 'Do not
show idiot', which I quite like :)

Thunderbird. Best of a bad lot on this distro (getting phase 3 Centrino
laptops working was *interesting*) Ubuntu was the only one I could make
work quickly and that has it's own software repository. I *could*
install Knode again, but it I would have to hack things or compile from
    source (I suspect)

Thunderbird is OK, as a mail client as well.

You:- Pan/0.14.2.91 (As She Crawled Across the Table (Debian GNU/Linux))

Me :- Pan/0.14.0 (I'm Being Nibbled to Death by Cats!)

Looks like they made an improvement :) Drop the developers a line, they
    may help.

I've not got that option. Think I will stick with the current version :)
I can't be arsed compiling it for Solaris (cue someone showing me a
    pre-compiled version :) )

Why on earth have they made something worse?

If it had the ability to filter based on replies I'd be able to make some
use of it. If it could search/filter/do stuff based on the content of the
message rather than just the subject or references that would be bloody
    useful - and fairly obvious.
