OT : Paging those wot know M$ Sharepoint.

    I'm probably missing something very basic here....

    But I want to import a spreadsheet with one row and many columns, into
    a "list" on Sharepoint, and for sharepoint to use the 1st row as the
    column headings on the "list".

    But everytime I try and import the list it adds another row above row
    1 changing the column headings to "Column1" "Column2" etc etc

    Anyone have an inkling where I may be going wrong ?

    Have you tried exporting to .csv and then importing that?
    You're only dealing with a plain text file then.
