Update, the place is up to it's usual standard, booked a non smoking
double, got a smoking twin,
were moved to a n/s double after an eternity of keyboard stabbing on
the part of the one receptionist,
this was freezing as the radiator wouldn't come on, there was a
convector heater thing in the room which did work so that was
tolerable
We were a bit late and had to rush out to get a cab nto Hornchurch so
there was no time to complain further about this then. I did mention
it when we checked out this morning, and they without being asked took
£25 off the bill.
I have to say I was impressed by this gesture, but suspect similar
things have happened before and this is a standard way of deflecting
complaints about the general crappiness of the place.
