Last week I upgraded mozilla to 1.5, but ever since then it's been
behaving a bit oddly. Occasionally when I click on a link (mostly in
the Racing Post website, but that's the only one I've really looked at
since) for some reason it decides it should be a page viewed in
Quicktime, so all I get is a broken logo. If I hit back and try the
link again, it's ok. Quicktime doesnt seem to be in the plug-in
directory - any ideas how can I can disable it (or whatever is causing
    the problem)?

    I had the same problem.

    Re-install Quicktime.

As a matter of interest, why Mozilla and not Firefox?

    Tried Opera. Hated it.

Uninstalling Quicktime seems to have solved the problem.

Not so. The last time I tried it the tabbed browsing utterly sucked
compared to Firefox with the tabbed browser preferences plugin.

I'm currently downloading 8.5 so I'll give that a try just for the
    hell of it.

What bit didn't you like? The tabs behaved as I'd expect an individual
    instance of IE to behave.

I thought Firefox was a bit odd; it never seemed to keep the tabs within
    the same window.

I've always liked it, enough to pay for it from version 5 onwards.

I'm really used to the setting up of the middle button click with tabs
which I'm pleased to see is now in 8.5. I'm now struggling with
setting the font size though. In Firefox and IE you can set the
default text size regardless of the css used on the website.
Unfortunately Opera only seems to work for some sites. Most of the
ones I visit frequently default to the sites text size. On a laptop
with 1920 x 1200 resolution that makes text a bit small. The zoom
function is shite as it enlarges the images making them horribly
    pixilated.
That's something that can be configured through the preferences
plugin. I like it as it's a no fuss browser that when coming from IE
was a godsend. I must admit apart from the above Opera seems OK but
in all honesty not enough to pull me away from Firefox with the
    numerous extensions I use.
