    That was Essex though and a fair bit of time ago. Nottingham averages
    a shooting a week, as others have said this one has just made the
    headlines as it is a young girl. Similar thing with the new year
    shooting.

    Killing is killing. It doesn't matter whether it's with guns, knives,
    poison or big sticks.

    What needs to be hammered into youngsters is that it's all wrong. Sure
    guns are bad and shouldn't be on the streets, and it makes it easy for
    someone to kill in the blink of an eye, but they need to be taught the
    value of life[1] above all else.

    [1] Except Des' of course
