Doesn't have pan?
if not hit the repos and d/load it.

 

having done all the upgrades it gave me the option of a couple of
newsreaders.

tin was one,pan another.

pan seems to have installed ok. not sure whether i could cope with it for
all time use but as it'll only sit on the edge of my desk for mail (I
have agent on my work lappy), on the train or when I travel and dont want/
have room for a full size one, no doubt I'll cope.

 

<notes to self> need to add a sig.

 

I have to agree with Pan, I use Pan and have found it to be excellent,
far better than Thunderbird especially. I don't know if others find this
but for me Thunderbird is very slow at doing large groups (UKRM
included), for example if I click a column heading to sort the articles
Thunderbird takes ages to do it where as it is near instantaneous in Pan.
