OT ish: The Black Horse in HW

  1. Good-o. That's why I said I wasn't an ale nut because I don't know all
the ales and all the breweries etc. I know what I like and bitter &
Twisted sounds like it will go down well[1] ;o)

  2. John Smith's tastes like it's got acid in it, much like a cheap cigar.

Don't get me wrong, I'd rather drink lager than nothing but given the
choice I'd sooner drink in a pub that gave me the choice. They also tend
to attract less of the gold chunky bracelet and gold sovs brigade.

  4. Cool. Can you get that on the internet?

Darting a short, fat, bald-headed, England football shirt wearing chunky
gold pikey who was getting on everybody's tits with rabies or something
    could be fun.

    Can you buy bubonic plague?

  6. Chicken juice that's been left out for a week is the best I can do.

You bring the dysentery, I'll bring the darts.

  7. Sir needs to try some quality German, Belgian or, above all, Czech

hehe, I always have about 3-4 books on at the same time, because I
can't wait to start something I just bought, or got given.
Hmm, greatly depends if you chose the asbestos units I recommended the
    last time.

Lacrosse, so hockey in the air, slightly more injury prone then even
commando baseball. It's a 8-a-side tournament, which means
unfortunately less people to hit. :-( But I will find them. ;-)

  12. Youngs do a passable strong lager, as it happens.

  14. Last night I was mostly drinking Cardhu. Bit expensive at almost 2 euros
for half a glass, but there you go.

Do people actually have to tell the barstaff what they want to drink at
the Black Horse? How very quaint.

  19. Exactly. I'd never take my own drinks to a pub that sells proper beer.
