KTM X-Bow, an italian made car weighing 1500 pounds, 220hp and comes
with crash helmets "intended to offer shelter from the elements rather
    than full crash protection".

Sounds like a recipie for disaster. I think I'd like a go.

    That looks excellent.
Bring on the lottery win so I can afford one and the track days to use it

  5. I know that MCN is, generally, a load of old toss but really, I would have
thought that a lot of the 'new stuff' posts on here could have been avoided
if people just flicked through the rag for free in Smiths once a week! [1]

I think it was in MCN 2 weeks ago. I'm not sure as mine have to get posted
here so it takes a while to get here.

I'm not particularly proud that I pay for it (well I pay my parents to buy
it and send it over with my business mail) but it *does* have some
interesting stuff in amongst the usual shite and rumour-mongering and from
the spending habits of many here, less than £2 a week isn't exactly gong to
stop them eating or get the water cut off, is it?

    Dave

[1] With apologies to Chris, it's just that I keep getting a deja vu when I
see posts these days and this time I've had some very nice red wine tonight
which has made me very slightly critical, but in a nice relaxed way.

PPS. I think it was Moto Revue the other week who had a similar type car in
it from the states but with a (vaguely remembering the details after an
excited Suzuki shop staff member thrust it under my nose) supercharged
2.4litre V8 made from two hayabusa top-ends (no idea on the cases) that puts
out a mere 300 and something bhp...

I don't read any paper press, much less any bike press. I googled it,
it hadn't been mentioned, so why not have a thread?

Either way, I can't find out what people on UKRM think about it by
    reading MCN.

I like the way its designed so all the road crap thrown up by the front
wheels lands in the side "trays" and the radiator inlets.

Look up 'motorcycle manufacturer' in the dictionary & it says "a
company that deliberately fits undersized mudguards to their vehicles
thus forcing you to buy aftermarket fender-extenders".

Just count yourself lucky they've fitted huggers as standard.

And you'll find Suzuki, Kawsaki and Yermama all there along with a raft of
    others.
I need an extender for the front of the Zed. The engine's being peppered
with crap and salt and it's definitely not a good thing.

The Bandit motor is absolutely caked in salt and road shite, and it's
going to stay that way until I can be arsed to wash it. It's way too
cold to be outside for any longer than is necessary.

I attacked mine yesterday in the garage and on the lift. The garage got
pissed wet through, but I was warm, then I opened the door and
squeagied/sqweejid/fuckit the water out. My new can of ACF 50 arrived, so
this afternoon the bike will be liberally coated with see through smeg and
that'll be it for the rest of winter.

The bike went through all the crap weather last year and survived without a
single furred up fastener or loss of any coating or paint because of ACF 50,
so it's going on again this year.

If you've never used it, I suggest you give it a try if you like your bikes
to stay in good nick. It also makes them piss easy to clean when the
salt/sugar mix is gone from the roads too.

*ding* Got one of em for the V-Strom, keeps the front engine clean(ish).
Cars need the wheels covered by something by law [1], so they ain't
really got a choice if they want to sell it over here.

[1] No, not snow chains, or tyres. Just fuggoff, right?!
