OT : Ipod leads

    My son has been given an ipod, an old one, 1g or first generation I think.
    Anyway, it has no leads and having borrowed a lead from a mates daughters
    boyfriend, we have discovered that there are two types of laed and socket on
    the actual ipod, 'new' types 3rd generation on and 'old' ones. The old ones
    seem to be similar to a 6 pin firewire type socket, what I want to know is
    do we need to get a specific ipod firewire lead or can I go to Maplin and
    get any old 6 pin firewire to USB lead?
