OT : Important question about beer

Nope, thank god. Had cravings for chocolate and cake, but I think
that's fairly standard for christmas/birthday time isn't it.

I do have a longing for a G&T or five, which alternates with a longing
for about 4 pints of Stella, but I don't think that's a 'craving' more
a case of 'cold turkey'[1].

[1] not the Christmas variety.

It's all I have in the house. I might mix it with some ice cream soda
and try that instead

 

I found half a barrel of home brew I'd forgotten about which was still
in good drinkable condition 16 months after brewing it. It mostly
depends whether it's been held at a cool stable temperature.

 

As long as you know you have /some/ though eh ;-)

Oi! That's my fecking Stella. I knew 6 cans was optimistic for Saturday
afternoon but I'd thought you and JC might have helped out.

 

Oh, I've got a clue all right. "Lots" is the word that springs to

Heh. There were only two cans left, so I added them to the other
abandoned cans of Stella in my fridge

 

I don't like the old Leffe Blonde Hoegaarden-style. Or Hoegaarden,
for that matter. Or anything that's like drinking dilute Marmite.

It's just so fucking "now", sweetie.

 

Or vanilla ice cream, crushed ice, vodka and creme de menthe.

Or swap the cdm for Baileys.

Either way, 30 seconds in a blender and you're laughing. For about 10
seconds, and then you're unconscious, if the ones I made the other night
were anything to go by.

 

You think dilute Marmite is like Hoegaarden? You've
had some seriously bad pints of Hoegaarden...

In my experience there is some seriously 'off' beer sold by licensees
who wouldn't know a good pint if they drank one.
