OT Hawkwind

A few glasses of red can lead you to strange things, we saw Duran Duran on
J Woss tonight, and felt like an 80's night of music, the strange thing is
I ended up re-introducing the Viking to Hawkwinds rendition of Gimme
Shelter, this led, via the webynet to discovering that they are playing
Cambridge CE December this year, so has anyone seen them lately, should I
go and watch them again after hmmm years, or just open another bottle
instead?

 

Sure, go and watch them. Then write a report. Finally, shove it up your
arse.

 

Saw them a couple of years ago - they have lost it totally

 

I saw them a few years back and they weren't a patch on the band of the
70's and 80's.

Levitation was about the last decent album IMHO

At Donnington R&B they were at their best until the council shut off the
sound.

I saw them 2 years ago in Liverpool with Arthur Brown singing, he was
poor, very poor. But usually they can still hold it together.

 

Yes, its pot luck though as to if they will be on form onr not, depends
who is in the line up.

Well I helped 'em set up their kit on the makeshift stage we built at
westbury white horse in '85, so I have a soft spot for that period as well
as their early stuff really.

If/when you get 'em can I have a copy as mine are on cassette tape!
