A few glasses of red can lead you to strange things, we saw Duran Duran on
J Woss tonight, and felt like an 80's night of music, the strange thing is
I ended up re-introducing the Viking to Hawkwinds rendition of Gimme
Shelter, this led, via the webynet to discovering that they are playing
Cambridge CE December this year, so has anyone seen them lately, should I
go and watch them again after hmmm years, or just open another bottle
    instead?

Sure, go and watch them. Then write a report. Finally, shove it up your
    arse.

I saw them a few years back and they weren't a patch on the band of the
    70's and 80's.

Hawkwind of the 80's wasn't a patch on the band of the 70's.

Levitation was about the last decent album IMHO

What refreshingly low standards you have!
I prefer to remember them in their prime rather than their dotage. :)

    Eiron.

ps. Anyone cot a CD of "Warrior On The Edge Of Time" or "Xitintoday"?
Neither are available, even for ready money.

    When ?

At Donnington R&B they were at their best until the council shut off the
    sound.

I saw them 2 years ago in Liverpool with Arthur Brown singing, he was
poor, very poor. But usually they can still hold it together.

Well I helped 'em set up their kit on the makeshift stage we built at
westbury white horse in '85, so I have a soft spot for that period as well
    as their early stuff really.

If/when you get 'em can I have a copy as mine are on cassette tape!

So that is all 4 sides? (sorry to be so old fashioned) are they in a
    'getatable' location?

Whole shooting match. And Quark strangeness and charm wif bonus
    tracks.

They are on my pooter, which isn't getatable, unless you try shareaza.

There is the alternative of burning CDs....
