    Thankyou BBC2

    2.5 hours of musical enjoyment.

Firstly, a 50 min documentary about Cream's album Disraeli Gears.

Followd by 90 mins of some old gits, aka Cream, doing a pretty good job of
replicating what they did almost 40 years ago at the Albert Hall.

Any chance you could knock me out one too?

By the time I realised it was on I was suffering a sobriety deficit so
    didn't set the PVR :-(

I'll have a torrent of looking then, ta.
Do you synchronise against a timeserver?

I don't know why, but the same thing happened to me a little while
ago, resulting in a slightly shouty Statto. If you run an XP based
PVR, the XP clock can be set to synchronise every 24 hours by running
regedt32 and changing the value in:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\TimeProviders\NtpClient\SpecialPollInterval

to 86400. Restart the w32time service and Robert is your auntie's live
    in lover.

No problem - it took a bit of digging to find that value.
It's an XP thing, so should work. Check by right clicking on the time
displayed on the task bar then click adjust date/time. Select the
Internet Time tab (assuming it's there) and ensure "automatically
    synchronise" is ticked.

  10. I use Dimension4, which is a natty little auto-checker for all shades of
Windows. Thing I like is it comes pre-loaded with plenty of time server
addresses, including many UK and European ones.

I know there are programs like that, but I was feeling bloody-minded
enough to make XP do what I wanted it to - without any additional
    software.

XP has 2 default network time address and anyway your ISP has a time
    service.

I know about the XP defaults - all the XP machines here are using
them, updating once a week with the exception of the PVR. I didn't
know about blueyonder running ntp servers - everyday is indeed a
    school day.

The farewell concert and the reunion concert seem to be fairly regularly
    repeated on BBC4

First time I've seen disraeli gears though

copied it to HDD of course

I already have the gig on DVD from when it was first broadcast on
BBC4. AFAIK the broadcast is the not the whole deal compared to the
DVD you can buy in the shops.

Anyone wanting a copy can drop me a line.

Now I just have to decide if I want the Disraeli Gears doc on the same
DVD as the Ace of Spades one???

Found them before I'd typed the post and have changed the time server
    settings on the machines here.
